Duties

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for software development projects. Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications using languages such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Python, C#, Java, C++, and C. Build and maintain RESTful APIs to enable smooth communication between different software components and external services. Develop front-end interfaces utilizing frameworks like React and Express to create engaging user experiences. Manage version control using tools such as GitHub, SVN, and Git to ensure code integrity and facilitate collaborative development. Work within Agile methodologies to deliver iterative improvements rapidly while maintaining high-quality standards. Optimize applications for performance, security (including RBAC), and scalability on cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. Maintain and enhance IT infrastructure components including Linux servers, MySQL databases, SQL queries, and application deployment pipelines. Implement best practices in web development, application security, and API management to ensure robust system architecture. Conduct code reviews, write comprehensive documentation, and participate in troubleshooting to resolve technical issues efficiently. Stay current with emerging technologies such as quantum engineering concepts or new programming languages that could benefit ongoing projects.

Experience

Proven experience in software development across multiple programming languages including Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Python, C#, Java, C++, or C. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components such as Linux operating systems, MySQL/SQL databases, RESTful APIs, and cloud services like AWS or Azure. Hands-on experience with front-end development frameworks including React or similar tools for building responsive web applications. Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub or SVN for collaborative coding environments. Knowledge of application security practices including RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) and API security protocols. Experience working within Agile teams using methodologies like Scrum or Kanban to deliver projects efficiently. Ability to develop RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services seamlessly into existing systems. Exposure to application deployment automation using tools like Git or CI/CD pipelines is a plus. Background in database management with SQL expertise for designing efficient data schemas and queries. Additional skills in application development for platforms like .NET or VBA are advantageous but not mandatory.
