The IT Asset Coordinator is responsible for tracking, managing, and maintaining the organization's IT assets throughout their lifecycle. This role ensures all hardware and software assets are accurately recorded, monitored, and maintained to support efficient IT operations and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records of IT hardware and software assets using asset management tools.
Track asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal (acquisition, deployment, usage, and retirement).
Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to manage inventory levels and support asset procurement planning.
Monitor software licenses, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular audits of IT assets and update inventory records accordingly.
Coordinate with vendors for asset delivery, repairs, and returns.
Tag and label new IT equipment and ensure proper deployment to end users.
Generate regular reports on asset utilization, depreciation, and inventory status.
Assist with IT budget planning and cost analysis by providing asset data and reports.
Manage asset-related documentation including warranties, purchase orders, and service agreements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in IT asset management or a similar role.
Strong organizational and data management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshservice, Lansweeper).
Good understanding of IT hardware, software, and licensing.
Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
