Position Title: IT Analyst III-Applications (BI Developer)

Location Bangalore, India

Responsibilities

• Implement BI COE standards and best practices for report development for all the BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Cognos and Bobj)
• Partner closely with Data Scientists in assessing, developing, and implementing new predictive models and advanced analytical solutions
• Design and develop BI reports by implementing Governance methodology to improve report load/extract times and achieve maximum performance
• Provide front line support to customers when needed as part of helping them in improving report performance
• Refine and automate processes, track issues, and document changes.
• Help customers in identifying the right type of BI tool based on their business needs
• Develop and help customers with Advanced Analytics data models
• Oversee and coordinate multiple engagements across projects, operations, and support teams to ensure they are completed on time and budget by following the demand management methodology.

Required Skillsets -

• overall 8+ years of experience in IT
• 5+ years of experience in Report design and development along with supporting highly complex BI applications of strategic or functional importance including: integration with data sources; highly automated data refresh processes; best-in-class data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that communicate critical insights to drive decision making
• 5+ years of experience in relational database design, data modelling, and structured query language (SQL)
• Experience in leading offshore and onsite teams consisting of BI development and support
• Experience in managing business change, project management methods and tools is a plus
• Experience in multiple business processes or organizations and experience in multiple IT disciplines is also beneficial
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal and influential skills with high degree of customer focus
• Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, conceptualization and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as being a collaborative team member
• Able to manage own duties including setting priorities
• Having good knowledge of Caterpillar policies, standards and procedures, with broad understanding of Caterpillar's organization is a plus

Top candidates will be -

• 5+ years of experience as BI Developer, report design and development in Power BI and Tableau
• Expert in BI Report & Dashboard development in Power BI and Tableau.
• 5+ years of experience in relational database design, data modelling, and structured query language (SQL)
• Knowledge in ThoughtSpot
• Experience in Snowflake, AWS, and Azure cloud services
• Work Timings :1:00PM to 10:00PM IST (Approx.)
