Role Overview
The IT & AI Manager will act as a business enabler, responsible for IT infrastructure stability, cybersecurity, digital systems effectiveness, data discipline, and the pragmatic application of AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, and process efficiency across functions.
This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role focused on system reliability, control, and efficiency, not experimentation or research. The role is critical to ensuring secure, compliant, and dependable technology operations across manufacturing, sales, finance, and corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
A. IT Infrastructure, Security & Uptime
Ensure stability, availability, and performance of all IT infrastructure, networks, systems, and end-user environments.
Own cybersecurity, access control, data protection, and user privilege management.
Implement and enforce IT policies covering:
o Data security
o Access rights
o Backup and recovery
o Incident response
Ensure system uptime for manufacturing operations, sales processes, and business-critical applications.
Manage IT vendors, service providers, and AMC partners.
B. Applied AI & Automation for Productivity
Identify and deploy AI-enabled tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, analytics, and automation tools) to improve:
o Individual and team productivity
o Reporting speed and accuracy
o Decision-support across departments
Drive automation of reports, workflows, MIS, and routine processes.
Enable responsible and secure use of AI tools across functions, with defined guidelines and controls.
Clearly operate within an applied AI framework -- no in-house model development or experimental research.
C. ERP, MIS & Internal Systems
Own and manage the SAP Business One (SAP B1) environment in coordination with users, vendors, and consultants.
Ensure ERP data integrity, role-based access, and process adherence.
Improve integration between ERP, spreadsheets, and supporting systems to reduce manual dependency.
Drive continuous improvement of MIS, dashboards, and internal reporting systems.
D. Data Discipline & Reporting
Establish data accuracy, consistency, and version control across systems.
Design and maintain management dashboards for sales, operations, finance, and leadership.
Ensure timely, reliable, and audit-ready reporting.
Reduce Excel-based risks through structured systems and controlled templates.
E. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure IT systems support audit requirements, compliance standards, and traceability.
Maintain documentation of systems, processes, access controls, and changes.
Support internal and external audits from an IT and data perspective.
Act as the custodian of technology risk management.
F. Team & Vendor Management
Manage and mentor a small internal IT team (1-2 members).
Coordinate effectively with external vendors, consultants, and service providers.
Set execution priorities, monitor delivery, and ensure accountability.
G. Management Interface
Provide regular updates to the Business Head on:
o System health and risks
o Security posture
o Automation and AI initiatives
o Key IT dependencies
Act as a trusted internal advisor on technology-related decisions, grounded in business practicality.

Reliable, timely, and audit-ready MIS and dashboards

Educational Qualifications
Essential:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred:
Postgraduate qualification or relevant certifications in IT systems, cybersecurity, ERP, or data management.
Experience & Skill Profile
5-7 years of hands-on experience in IT systems, infrastructure, and internal applications.
Practical exposure to:
o ERP systems (SAP B1 preferred)
o Cybersecurity and access control
o Cloud productivity tools (Google Workspace / Microsoft)
o Reporting, MIS, and dashboards
Working knowledge of AI productivity tools and automation platforms.
Experience managing vendors and small internal teams.
Strong understanding of compliance, audits, and control environments.
