Escalon Business Services is looking for a motivated and technically skilled
Desktop Support Engineer (L1)
to join our IT team in Mohali. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and a passion for providing high-quality support to end-users.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, chat, or in person.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
Diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues promptly.
Install and upgrade operating systems and software applications.
Perform regular system maintenance including updates, antivirus scans, and backups.
Ensure proper IT security practices and data integrity.
Collaborate with L2/L3 teams for complex issue resolution.
Maintain accurate records of IT assets, hardware, and software inventory.
Train and guide users on basic IT system usage.
Follow IT security and compliance policies.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and IT support trends.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and common software.
Familiarity with networking concepts is a plus.
Certifications such as
CompTIA A+
,
MCDST
, or similar are an advantage.
0-3 years of experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk (freshers welcome).
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
