Job Description

Installation & Setup

: Deploying new computers, servers, and printers and setting up operating systems and applications.

Maintenance

: Performing updates, backups, and ensuring hardware/software compatibility.

Troubleshooting

: Diagnosing and resolving issues with hardware failures, software crashes, network connectivity, and user problems.

User Support (Help Desk)

: Assisting staff with technical difficulties, often remotely or in person.

Inventory & Documentation

: Tracking IT assets and documenting configurations, procedures, and resolutions.

Security

: Implementing security measures and monitoring for vulnerabilities.

Collaboration

: Working with other IT teams and departments on projects.
Key Skills & Qualifications

Education: A

bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is often preferred.

Technical Skills

: Hardware: PCs, Macs, mobile devices (iOS/Android), printers, and networking gear. Software: Windows/macOS, Microsoft Office Suite, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and remote support tools. Networking: TCP/IP, Wi-Fi setup, and structured cabling basics.

Soft Skills

: Problem-solving, communication, patience, ability to work under pressure, adaptability.

Certifications (Plus)

: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+.

IT Support Specialist/Technician

: Focuses heavily on end-user support and daily operational issues.

Hardware Engineer

: Designs and develops new physical components (processors, circuit boards).

IT Engineer/Systems Administrator

: Manages broader infrastructure, servers, and networks.
