Job Description

1. Network and System Administration



Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot school networks (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi). Monitor and update firewalls, routers, switches, and other network devices. Ensure internet security, content filtering, and appropriate access controls.

2. Hardware and Software Maintenance



Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, projectors, and smartboards. Manage software installations, licensing, and updates. Support audio-visual equipment in classrooms and events.

3. User Support & Help Desk



Provide technical support to teachers, students, and administrative staff. Maintain help desk logs and respond to support requests in a timely manner. Conduct training sessions or create guides for users on basic IT practices.

4. Data Management and Backup



Ensure regular data backup and disaster recovery procedures. Maintain student information systems and academic software tools (e.g., LMS, SIS).

5. Cybersecurity & Compliance



Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols. Ensure compliance with school IT policies and relevant data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, FERPA).

6. Asset and Inventory Management



Keep inventory of IT equipment and software licenses. Coordinate repairs, replacements, and upgrades as needed.

7. Planning and Innovation



Recommend improvements to the school's IT systems. Assist in planning and budgeting for IT-related expenses.
