Job Description

Job Summary:


The IT Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organizationaEUR(TM)s IT


infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, servers, and


security systems. The role includes installing and configuring hardware and software,


troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting users to maintain high system performance and


data security.


Key Responsibilities:


System Administration:
o Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and network devices.


o Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and availability of IT systems.


o Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning.


Network Management:
o Manage LAN/WAN infrastructure, Wi-Fi networks, and VPN connections.


o Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and optimize network performance.


o Configure firewalls, routers, and switches.


User Support:
o Provide technical support to end-users (hardware, software, and network issues).


o Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control in Active Directory or


similar systems.


o Train staff on IT tools, cybersecurity practices, and software usage.


Security & Compliance:
o Implement and maintain security measures (antivirus, firewalls, patch


management).


o Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and apply updates as necessary.


o Ensure compliance with data protection and IT policies.


IT Asset Management:
o Maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware, software licenses, and network


equipment.


o Oversee procurement, setup, and disposal of IT assets.i, Documentation:


o Document configurations, network diagrams, procedures, and policies.


o Maintain logs for system changes and support requests.
Key Skills:


i, Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server environments.


i, Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).


i, Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS).


i, Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.


i, Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices.


i, Good communication and teamwork skills.
