JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior/ Lead Engineer Simulation & APC under Industrial Software COE will: Conceptualize, implement and test process models, logic emulation as well as development of graphic user interface as required for a project Study customer plant operations and control system , to identify opportunities for improving performance Collect data from customer sites Generate required project documentation Configure of models and controllers per requirements of project Report progress, status and issues to supervisor on a weekly basis Demonstrate technology offerings as well as project deliverables to customers and third parties for acceptance during acceptance tests Help generate proposal deliverables Provide consulting help to proposal engineering as well as sales teams as necessary for success on pursuits Plan and allocate as well as monitor tasks required for successful execution of project to team members Conduct knowledge sharing sessions with team members Train and mentor newer engineers as well as project team members Carry out any other activity related to project or proposal engineering per instructions from supervisor Participate on any organizational initiative/ project in a role as specified by supervisor or management Ability to learn and willingness to abide by core values of Emerson Help in continually improving Emerson software through review against objectives and specifications, creating improvement requests and reviewing proposed changes. Maintaining system functionality by testing computer components Actively contribute towards improvement of the technical support function from Indusrial Software CoE TECHNICAL SKILLS: Mandatory Ability to read P&IDs, PFDs Adequate experience in use of multiple dynamic simulation software such as Unisim, Dynsim, K-Spice, INDISS or HYSYS flow assurance tools such as OLGA or LEDAFLOW Adequate awareness of AspenTech\'s products, Virtualization solutions, Cyber security solutions, process modeling software products and services, advance process control / real time optimization, Data Analytics , Asset Management systems manufacturing execution systems and planning and scheduling solutions. Experience in project execution DCS/ SIS/ OTS - configuration and delivery, operation/ commissioning. Experience in implementing APC projects. Experience with supporting sales with presale activities preferred. Proficiency with MS Office applications including MS Word, MS Excel , MS Powerpoint and Visio. Preferred Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills in technical environment Strong Interpersonal and customer relationship skills. Team player willing to perform any duties to provide exceptional services to exceed customer expectations Fast learner with a desire/motivation to learn cutting-edge new technologies. Willingness to coach, guide the fellow team members, able to plan and organize the work required for performing the tasks.
