Manage the complete IPD billing process -- from patient admission to final bill generation.
Prepare interim and final bills including room rent, procedures, investigations, pharmacy, and consumables.
Coordinate with nursing stations, pharmacy, lab, and front office for billing-related data.
Handle patient deposits, refunds, and advance adjustments.
Process TPA / Insurance billing, pre-authorization, and claim submissions.
Verify patient records and ensure all charges are accurately captured in the Hospital Information System (HIS).
Address patient and family billing queries with professionalism and clarity.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure billing compliance with hospital policies.
Prepare and share daily billing and collection reports with the Finance Department.
Qualifications & Skills
Graduate in Commerce, Finance, or Hospital Administration.
2-5 years of experience in
IPD Billing
or
Hospital Billing Operations
.
Proficiency in Hospital Information System (HIS) or billing software.
Knowledge of TPA / Insurance processes and documentation.
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in
rotational duty shifts
(morning, evening, night as per schedule).
