We are hiring: IP Counsel - Mobile Security & Electronic Payments.
Location: Pune
Your Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic and operational support for intellectual property matters across the business units focused on Mobile Security and Electronic Payments.

• Through own work and in collaboration with our external agent ensure we achieved high quality and assertable IP rights by drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications.

• Manage and maintain the company's IP portfolio in India and support global IP activities in coordination with the corporate IP department.

• Conduct patentability assessments, freedom-to-operate analyses, and IP risk evaluations.

• Advise internal stakeholders on IP-related legal and strategic issues, including licensing, partnerships, and third-party rights.

• Monitor competitor IP activities and support enforcement actions when necessary.

• Liaise with external patent attorneys and legal counsel, as well as with international colleagues within the G+D Group.

Your Profile:

• Degree in engineering, electronics, computer science, or a related technical discipline.
• Qualification as a registered Indian Patent Agent; legal background or law degree is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in intellectual property law, preferably in an in-house role within a technology-driven company.
• Solid understanding of technologies related to Mobile Security, Smartcards, Payment Systems, and Cryptography.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global, cross-functional environment.
