Job Description

Billing & Invoicing:

Generate and process accurate daily bills and final invoices for IP services, including room charges, diagnostics, and procedures.

Insurance Coordination:

Handle insurance claims, verify coverage, and manage credit billing for corporate clients.

Reconciliation & Accuracy:

Ensure all charges are captured correctly (charge mapping), check for discrepancies, and reconcile accounts before patient discharge.

Record Management:

Maintain meticulous, up-to-date documentation for all financial transactions in the Hospital Information System (HIS).

Query Resolution:

Resolve patient and department queries regarding bills in a timely and professional manner.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Typical Working Conditions

Often involves working in shifts, including night shifts. High-pressure environment, particularly during patient discharge.

Experience:

1-5 years of experience in hospital billing, ideally with knowledge of IPD, insurance, and medical coding.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and MS Office (specifically Excel).

Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and excellent communication skills.
