Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Commerce, Hospital Administration, or equivalent.
Minimum
2+ years of proven experience in hospital inpatient billing
.
Strong knowledge of TPA/insurance processes and hospital billing systems.
Proficiency in hospital billing software and MS Office tools.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end
Inpatient (IP) billing
processes including patient admission, interim bills, and final settlement.
Verify patient details, doctor's orders, and treatment records to ensure accurate billing.
Coordinate with clinical, nursing, and pharmacy departments for timely posting of charges.
Process insurance claims and liaise with TPAs/insurance providers for approvals and settlement.
Resolve billing discrepancies, queries, and provide clear explanations to patients/families.
Maintain updated records, billing reports, and ensure compliance with hospital finance policies.
Support monthly audits and ensure adherence to NABH/JCI standards
