About the Role

Logicrest Technologies is hiring an

IoT Engineer / Hardware Integration Engineer

to bridge

physical industrial systems and cloud-based intelligence

. This role involves

hands-on development of embedded hardware, custom sensors, firmware, and industrial IoT systems

, ensuring reliable, secure, and real-time data flow from the field to cloud and AI platforms.

You will work on

live industrial deployments

, collaborating closely with backend, AI, and automation teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and integrate

custom sensors

for industrial and IoT applications Develop and maintain

sensor drivers and firmware

for interfacing with analog and digital sensors Install, configure, and maintain

industrial sensors, PLCs, and data acquisition systems

Develop embedded firmware in

C / C++

for Wi-Fi-enabled microcontrollers and microprocessors Work hands-on with

ESP32, ARM-based microcontrollers, or similar platforms

Design, review, and validate

custom PCBs

for sensor and IoT device integration Implement device communication using

MQTT and related IoT protocols

Integrate edge devices with

cloud IoT platforms

(AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, Firebase) Ensure secure, reliable, and continuous

device-to-cloud data transmission

Integrate PLCs and field devices with

SCADA systems and backend services

Diagnose and resolve

hardware, firmware, connectivity, and data-quality issues

Perform

sensor calibration, validation, and preventive maintenance

Create and maintain

hardware schematics, driver documentation, firmware documentation, and installation guides

Ensure compliance with

industrial safety standards and electrical protocols

Support on-site troubleshooting and production deployments

Required QualificationsExperience

2-4 years

of hands-on experience in

IoT, embedded systems, sensor development, or industrial automation

Experience working on

custom hardware and sensor-based systems

Technical Skills

Hands-on experience with

Wi-Fi-enabled microcontrollers or microprocessors

ESP32, ARM-based MCUs, or equivalent Strong experience in

embedded firmware and sensor driver development using C / C++

Experience with

custom sensor development

, calibration, and validation Experience with

PCB design and hardware bring-up

Knowledge of

IoT communication protocols

, especially

MQTT

Experience integrating devices with

cloud IoT platforms

: AWS IoT Core Azure IoT Hub Firebase (or equivalent) Experience with

PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial communication protocols

OPC UA, Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet/IP Hands-on experience with

4-20 mA loops, RS485, digital I/O

Ability to read and interpret

electrical schematics, P&ID diagrams, and instrumentation drawings

Strong understanding of

industrial electrical safety, grounding, and site protocols

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with

I2C, SPI, UART, CAN

sensor interfaces Knowledge of

low-power and high-reliability sensor design

Experience implementing

OTA firmware updates and device security

Familiarity with

Linux-based embedded systems

Experience working in

startup or fast-paced deployment environments
