Support and assist Client Operations and other operational shared service teams/COE's by performing daily maintenance and review of the SEC Yield information provided by the YES application. Ensure prompt follow up on exception situations and facilitate timely problem resolution to mitigate risk to the corporation and deliver excellent service to clients.
Overall ResponsibilitiesMonitors, reviews, and validates all daily work to ensure accurate timely calculations and processing
Coordinates, supervise and allocate work across staff to ensure timely completion of work to meet deliverables
Works in conjunction with individuals on the team as well as other shared service teams/COE's and Client Operations to ensure seamless processing according to the fund's policies
Support review of SEC Yields in compliance with ICI guidelines and client policy
Supports the review and validation of complex security income reported in the SEC Yields as needed
Accounts for all activity in an accurate and timely manner and maintains all required controls to ensure overall accuracy
Manages the review and validation of data as needed
Manages the preparation and review of monthly control books/audit packages and assists in timely and accurate resolution of discrepancies
Manages the production of reports for shareholder, director, and management reports, in an accurate and timely manner.
Distributes information to Client Operations teams
Manages and facilitates training and assists in the career development of new hires
Remains familiar with back-up procedures when system applications and/or transmission problems arise
Prepares and verifies information for various projects/special requests assigned by manager
Researches and resolves complex exceptions and issues. Elevates unresolved issues to management, as required
Covers various supervisory and Officer level functions when necessary
Maintains records in support of audits
Accounting Specific ResponsibilitiesEnsures accurate income, expense, share and NAV information for daily calculation of SEC Yields.
Researches and resolves discrepancies with the Income, Accounting and Client Operations teams
Populates, reviews, and submits components of SEC Yield, as necessary
Qualifications:Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Minimum 3 years of Fund Accounting or Performance/ Yield reporting experience.
* Typically, 4 - 6 years of related experience. Skills: Strong computer competence (Microsoft applications {Excel, Word etc.}, aptitude for math, interpersonal skills, communication skills, multitasking capability, Attention to detail, Accountability, ability to work under pressure/deadlines driven environment.
