Role Overview
We are seeking an analytically driven
Investment Banking Associate
to lead our
Deal Origination
vertical. This role is designed for a professional who excels at identifying high-value corporate opportunities and securing mandates for complex financial interventions.
You will be responsible for the front-end of the deal lifecycle, focusing on
Insolvency & Bankruptcy (IBC)
,
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
, and
Private Placements
. This is a high-visibility position involving direct engagement with C-Suite executives, Founders, and Boards of Directors to architect strategic corporate solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Origination & Market Intelligence
Conduct thematic research to identify mid-market companies and distressed assets suitable for restructuring or acquisition.
Perform preliminary financial due diligence and "Stress Tests" to evaluate the viability of potential mandates.
Monitor industry trends and regulatory shifts (IBC, SEBI, etc.) to proactively source opportunities before they reach the auction stage.
2. Mandate Acquisition & Client Advisory
Lead "Boardroom" level discovery sessions to diagnose corporate financial health and strategic pain points.
Develop and present sophisticated "Pitch Books" that articulate the ROI of specific restructuring or capital-raise strategies.
Own the negotiation process from initial outreach to the final signing of the engagement mandate.
3. International Partnership Management
Collaborate with international legal and financial partners (Philippines, Kenya, etc.) to source and structure cross-border M&A deals.
Act as the primary point of contact for international collaborators to ensure seamless deal execution across different regulatory jurisdictions.
Required Qualifications
Education:
MBA (Finance), Chartered Accountant (CA), Company Secretary (CS), or a Degree in Law with a Finance background.
Technical Expertise:
Deep understanding of the
Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC)
, corporate valuation methodologies, and Private Placement frameworks.
Experience:
Proven track record in deal sourcing, business development for financial services, or investment banking execution.
Communication:
Exceptional executive presence and the ability to simplify complex financial structures for diverse stakeholders.
