job summary We run a successful and popular supermarket in a suburban area, and we are in need of an experienced Inventory Specialist to help us with cost-control procedures and to prevent loss through contamination, expiration and other issues related to food and produce handling. The successful candidate will be familiar with the supermarket and grocery industries, and will have exceptional math and observational skills. He or she will join the management team and report directly to the Assistant Store Manager. We are looking for a polished professional who takes his or her work seriously and values meticulous accuracy in every endeavor. Inventory Specialist responsibilities and duties The responsibilities and duties section is the most important part of the job description.   • Conduct Cycle Count inventory processes to ensure accuracy and timely execution
  • Schedule categories for Cycle Count inventory and maintain strict records
  • Oversee and evaluate stock rotation procedures
  • Maintain adequate storage for warehouse and on-site inventory
  • Maintain and evaluate inventory records on a quarterly basis
  • Train store staff in product dating and create procedures to eliminate loss
  • Create an efficient space utilization plan
  • Notify store management of shortages or other problems that could impact product availability
  • Instruct store staff on proper procedures for locating and utilizing product inventory
  • Check bulk orders for accuracy and quality prior to shipment

Job Type: Full-time Salary: 913,500.00 - 916,500.00 per month Schedule:
