Inventory Management Officer / Executive - Road Construction Projects

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced professional to handle
inventory and material management
for our
road construction (NHAI/MoRTH)
projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining material records, tracking inflow and outflow at site, verifying stock levels, and ensuring timely availability of construction materials as per project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage receipt, issue, and reconciliation of construction materials (cement, steel, bitumen, aggregates, etc.)
Maintain updated stock registers, GRNs, and inventory records (manual and digital).
Coordinate with the procurement and site execution teams for material requirements.
Conduct periodic physical verification of stock at site stores and yards.
Implement material tracking systems for efficient utilization and minimum wastage.
Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly inventory reports.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs and audit requirements.
Liaise with vendors, transporters, and site engineers for smooth material flow.
Required Experience & Skills:
Minimum
5-10 years
of experience in
inventory/store management for road or infrastructure projects
.
Strong understanding of
construction materials, specifications, and consumption tracking
.
Proficiency in
Excel
,
ERP systems
, or software like
Autodesk Construction Cloud / Procore
(preferred).
Ability to work independently and manage multiple site inventories.
Good communication and reporting skills.
Qualification:
Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Management.
Certification in Inventory or Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.
Salary:
?40,000 - ?50,000 per month (negotiable based on experience)
