to oversee inventory control and store management for an export house. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing stock levels, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting timely dispatches to meet export deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:Inventory Management:
Maintain accurate inventory records through manual logs and/or ERP systems.
Conduct regular physical stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Monitor stock levels and reorder material based on consumption and lead time.
Maintain proper documentation of incoming and outgoing goods (GRNs, gate passes, dispatch slips, etc.).
Classify and organize inventory for easy identification and retrieval.
Store Operations:
Manage day-to-day operations of the store, including receiving, storing, and issuing of raw materials, packing materials, and finished goods.
Ensure proper tagging, binning, and storage of goods to minimize damage or loss.
Coordinate with the production, quality, and logistics teams for timely movement of goods.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the store premises.
Export Coordination Support:
Collaborate with the export/logistics team to ensure timely availability of goods for packing and dispatch.
Prepare materials and finished goods for container loading as per export schedules.
Support in documentation for export shipments (e.g., packing lists, stock availability reports).
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to storage and inventory.
Generate regular reports on stock movement, aging stock, consumption, and reorder levels.
Prevent pilferage, damage, or loss through effective store control practices.
Requirements:
Graduate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (Diploma holders with experience can also apply).
3+ years of experience in inventory/store management, preferably in an export-oriented unit (EOU).
Knowledge of inventory control practices, storekeeping standards, and stock audits.
Familiarity with ERP software (e.g., Tally, SAP, or other inventory systems).
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to lead a small team of store assistants or helpers.
