Job Title: Inventory Manager Department: Warehouse and Operations Location: Villupuram (HO) Position Type: Full-time Reports To: Warehouse and Operations - VP Job Summary: The Inventory Manager is responsible for the effective management and control of the organization\'s inventory. This role involves overseeing stock levels, optimizing inventory processes, and ensuring the availability of products while minimizing carrying costs. The Inventory Manager plays a critical role in maintaining the balance between demand and supply, thereby contributing to the company\'s efficiency and profitability. Key Responsibilities: Inventory Control:

  • Manage and monitor inventory levels to prevent overstock or stockout situations.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Implement inventory control policies and procedures to reduce shrinkage and improve accuracy.
Inventory Optimization:
  • Analyze demand forecasts, sales trends, and lead times to optimize stock levels.
  • Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory and develop strategies for disposition.
Supplier Coordination:
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Maintain effective relationships with suppliers to streamline procurement and replenishment.
Stock Rotation and Storage:
  • Implement efficient stock rotation methods to minimize product expiry or obsolescence.
  • Ensure that inventory is stored in a well-organized and accessible manner.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and other relevant metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and process improvements.
Budget Management:
  • Work with the finance department to establish and manage inventory budgets.
  • Monitor expenses related to inventory carrying costs.
Technology Utilization:
  • Utilize inventory management software and tools to streamline processes and maintain accurate records.
Team Management (if applicable):
  • Supervise and lead a team of inventory control specialists, if applicable.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Business, or Operations).
  • Proven experience in inventory management, with 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of inventory control best practices and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
