Job Summary



We're seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee stock operations in our Kozhikode-based stores. You'll implement SOPs, conduct audits, and optimize inventory to minimize waste and ensure availability. This role involves 75% travel across branches and requires strong leadership in FMCG retail. Ideal for detail-oriented professionals passionate about process improvement.

Salary Range:



?3,50,000 - ₹6,00,000 per year (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities



Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices to ensure accuracy in stock receiving, storage, and issuance. Forecast inventory needs based on sales trends, lead times, and demand patterns to maintain optimal stock levels. Coordinate with procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure timely stock availability and minimize disruptions. Manage and track slow-moving, obsolete, or damaged inventory; conduct regular audits and variance analysis to reduce wastage and improve efficiency. Ensure proper labelling, coding, and categorization of all inventory items across departments. Utilize ERP/inventory management software (e.g., retail systems, Excel) to record, monitor, and report stock movements. Maintain compliance with company policies, health/safety standards, and regulatory requirements in storage areas. Lead, train, and coordinate warehouse/inventory staff on stock management, documentation processes, and SOP adherence.

Requirements & Qualifications



Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).

Experience:

Minimum 3 years in retail management, preferably in FMCG retail (required).

Skills:

Proficiency in retail inventory software (ERP, Excel); strong analytical skills for audits and forecasting. Detail-oriented with a process-focused mindset.

Leadership:

Proven ability to lead teams, coordinate staff, and drive efficiency in fast-paced environments.

Other:

Willingness to travel 75% (across Kerala branches). Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of Indian labor laws (e.g., Shops & Establishments Act) is a plus.
