Job Description

Role :

The Inventory Manager will be responsible for developing and executing inventory strategies to ensure optimal stock levels across our network. This role is critical to balancing the competing priorities of minimizing carrying costs while maximizing service levels and product availability. The ideal candidate is a data-savvy professional with a proven track record in inventory control, demand planning, and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Strategy & Control (40%)

Develop and implement inventory management policies, procedures, and systems to maximize accuracy and efficiency. Set and maintain optimal inventory levels (safety stock, reorder points, order quantities) for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Oversee cycle counting programs and lead the annual physical inventory audit, ensuring a 99%+ accuracy rate. Analyze inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

2. Demand Planning & Forecasting (30%)

Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Procurement to develop accurate demand forecasts. Monitor forecast accuracy and implement corrective actions to reduce variability. Manage inventory to support new product launches, promotions, and product phase-outs.

3. Performance Analysis & Reporting (20%)

Track and report on key inventory performance metrics (e.g., GMROI, Inventory Turnover, Days of Supply, Stock-Out Rate). Prepare regular management reports on inventory status, obsolescence, and excess & slow-moving stock. Lead initiatives to reduce waste and minimize obsolete inventory.

4. Cross-Functional Leadership & Process Improvement (10%)

Partner with the procurement, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure a seamless flow of materials. Identify and lead process improvement projects to enhance inventory visibility and reduce costs.
