The Inventory Executive is responsible for managing and maintaining optimal inventory levels across warehouses or storage areas to ensure smooth operations. The role involves tracking inventory movements, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with procurement and logistics teams, and minimizing inventory discrepancies or losses.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock audits and reconciliations.
Monitor inventory levels and report low stock or overstock situations to relevant departments.
Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock and materials.
Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of inventory items.
Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and initiate appropriate action.
Implement and follow inventory control procedures to reduce shrinkage and wastage.
Use inventory management software and ERP systems for tracking and reporting.
Generate regular reports on inventory status, movements, and performance.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies in storage areas.
Job Specification (JS)
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
Professional certification in inventory management or logistics (preferred).
Experience:
2-4 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or related roles.
Hands-on experience with inventory software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, or other ERP systems).
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures and best practices.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficient in MS Excel and data entry.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Physical ability to occasionally lift or move stock items, if required.
