An Inventory Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, overseeing inventory counts and audits, coordinating the receipt and storage of materials, and ensuring sufficient stock levels to meet operational needs while preventing overstock or shortages. They play a key role in inventory control, reconciliation, and communication across departments to support efficient supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular physical inventory counts (daily, weekly, monthly) and reconcile discrepancies.
Organize and oversee inventory storage for accessibility and accuracy.
Manage receipt, inspection, and proper storage of incoming stock.
Prepare and present inventory reports on stock levels, turnovers, and shortages to management.
Identify inventory issues, investigate causes, and implement corrective actions.
Develop and maintain inventory control procedures, including FIFO rotation and waste disposal.
Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely supply and order fulfillment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in inventory management systems and processes.
