Responsible for managing, optimising, and controlling inventory levels to support business operations efficiently. Ensures accuracy of stock, timely replenishment, minimal stock-outs, and effective coordination with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to meet operational targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels based on business demand forecasts and historical trends.
Analyse inventory turnover ratios, ageing, and slow/non-moving stock to recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams for timely replenishment of stock.
Implement and improve inventory control processes, including cycle counts, physical verification, and reconciliation.
Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance in ERP or inventory management systems.

Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, data analysis, pivot tables, scenario modelling)
Identify and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system stock.
Support month-end and year-end inventory audits and closing activities.
Generate periodic reports (daily/weekly/monthly) on inventory status, stock valuation, and utilisation efficiency for management review.
Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to streamline inbound and outbound inventory flows.
Recommend process improvements for minimising carrying costs and enhancing inventory accuracy.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and organisational policies related to inventory management.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of inventory control methods (FIFO, LIFO, ABC analysis, etc.).
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) or inventory management software.
Analytical and problem-solving skills for root-cause analysis of discrepancies.
Good coordination and communication skills across procurement, warehouse, and finance teams.
Ability to prepare and interpret data-driven inventory reports.
Attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Educational & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, or a related field.
4-6 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain roles.
Certification in inventory management, supply chain, or materials management is an advantage.
