ExxonMobil's LNG affiliate in India supporting the upstream business provides consultant services for other ExxonMobil upstream affiliates and conducts LNG market-development activities.

What you will do

Responsible for analyzing inventory data, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing effective solutions to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve service levels



1. Coordinate, communicate, align


Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with procurement, production, supply, and logistics teams to ensure alignment and implement inventory optimization strategies


2. Execute and drive inventory optimization opportunites through various supply chain teams


Inventory Analysis and Forecasting: Analyze historical sales data, demand forecasts, andinventory trends to determine optimal stocking levels and safety stock requirements.

Process Improvement: Assess current inventory management processes for efficiency andeffectiveness, and develop strategies to optimize inventory control, reduce stockouts, and minimize excess inventory.

+ Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize inventory management software and analytical tools to monitor inventory performance metrics (e.g., fill rate, inventory accuracy, carrying costs)and identify opportunities for improvement

+ Reporting and Insights: Prepare insights/recommendations on inventory performance against forecasts and targets to management for actionable plans + Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure sustained performance improvements across the organization
+ Staying Updated: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in inventory planning and optimization to continuously improve inventory performance
+ Support regional fulfillment rate objectives with optimal inventory levels through analysis & sharing learning, developing tools and metrics, driving processes and procedures and working across the regional & global supply chain organization as well as cross-functionally
+ Drive development of stocking strategy and work with supply chain management to reflect the global business continuity plan requirements and stewardship
+ Participate in global, regional & cross functional initiatives, projects and networks as required

Coordinate development of planning targets for the region, monitor and report inventory levels vs target

Responsible for reviewing product movements in the network for slow moving/dying/phased out inventory reports and coordinate the process with stake holders to reduce exess inventory (e.g. supply chain management, production sites, storage locations, deployment team, sales, marketing)

Drive annual SKU management and safety stock refresh projects

Serve as power user/subject matter expert for Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization for supply chain team

Serve as Power user for related inventory optimization systems/tools (inventory management, overstock / understock)

Coordinate network planning system "make-vs-move" functionality

Drive phase in / phase out run down and ramp up in the network for different initiatives

+ Perform annual review of manufacturing tank utilization and proposed changes to support long term initiatives in network + Lead regular network Inventory optimization effort (focus on bulk and package / warehouse capacity)
+ Drive safety stocks and economic order quantities to optimum targets by ensuring accuracy of optimization tool's input and through effective engagement with supply planners

About You

Skills & Qualifications






+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations Research (or related fields such as Applied Mathematics/Statistics) + Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in supply chain network post-secondary school graduation
+ Experience supporting supply chain activities for large scale operations preferred (particularly in Oil & Gas/Consumer Packaged Goods/Fast-Moving consumer goods)
+ Experience managing/supporting large-scale network deployment/replenishment activities
+ Experience with demand and/or supply planning processes for either inbound materials or finished products
+ Experience with extracting information from ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle) and utilize MS Excel to generate data insights
+ Proficiency with both spoken and written in English
+ Understand Supply Chain Fundamentals and Supply & Demand Principles
+ Function effectively in a team environment, including virtual environments is critical
+ Strong background in statistics and/or analytics

o SAP IBP/APO, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis



o Tableau and/or Power Bl for visualization



o Power Query, Excel



o Knowledge of R and/or Python for scripting is preferred


Strong performer with ability to prioritize work strategically and independently while also functioning well within a global, virtual team
