Location: Indore Job Type: Full-Time : We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Accountant to join our team at Fareto International. As an Inventory Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of our inventory. Your expertise in accounting and proficiency in using accounting software, particularly Tally, will be essential in ensuring the integrity of our inventory data. Responsibilities: Inventory Management: Monitor and control all aspects of inventory, including product quantities, valuation, and movement.
Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure accurate recording of incoming and outgoing inventory.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and conduct regular physical counts to reconcile with system data. Accounting and Reporting: Record all inventory transactions accurately in the accounting system, with a strong focus on maintaining data integrity.
Prepare and analyze inventory reports, including stock valuation, turnover, and aging analysis.
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements related to inventory. Valuation: Implement appropriate inventory valuation methods, such as FIFO, LIFO, or weighted average, in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Monitor the impact of valuation methods on financial statements and make recommendations for adjustments as needed. Variance Analysis: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in inventory records.
Analyze and report on the reasons for inventory discrepancies, including shrinkage, damages, or errors in recording. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures in all inventory-related activities.
Assist in preparing documentation for audits and cooperate with auditors as required. System Management: Maintain and update inventory-related information in Tally or other accounting software.
Identify opportunities for system improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Professional accounting certification.
• Proven experience in inventory accounting and management.
• Proficiency in using accounting software, particularly Tally, Excel
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Effective communication skills for reporting and explaining inventory-related matters.
• Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Familiarity with inventory valuation methods and their impact on financial statements.
