The Intune Engineer will provide technical professional services required to fulfill \'s setup and configuration projects for our clients. The implementations will be approached according to the company\'s patterns and practices in general and specific to Intune offerings. Excellence in both technical skills and customer service skills are key to this customer-service-facing role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Intune implementations for professional services projects.
  • The Intune Engineer will provide technical professional services required to setup and configuration projects for our clients.
  • The implementations will be approached according to the company\'s patterns and practices in general and specific to Intune offerings.
  • Excellence in both technical skills and customer service skills are key to this customer-service-facing role.
  • Implement projects from initiation to completion, at times with autonomy (seeking appropriate guidance as necessary) and at times in collaboration with other team members.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and other support to Day 2 team members who are coming up to speed with Intune.
  • Participate in internal kick-off meetings, assisting the PMO (project managers and coordinators) with getting oriented to the Intune elements of projects as well as translating general scope (signed SOW) into deliverables, milestones, phases, tasks, and timelines.
  • Supplement the PMO\'s contributions by helping with meeting agendas and other organizational elements of meetings, providing technical implementation plans, explaining priorities and dependencies, and reporting on progress.
  • Show broad, visible adherence to consensus and provide one-on-one feedback to help improve Intune offerings, including design, documentation, patterns, and practices.
  • Demonstrate continued technical education through monitoring and learning new Intune features and changes to existing ones.
Qualifications

  • 5 years with Intune
  • 5 years in a technical role with customer service requirements
  • Embrace direction and vision and work effectively.
  • Deliver with strong attention to details.
  • Conduct highly organized work, and self-motivated.
  • Work in a fast-paced high-end customer focused corporate environment.
  • Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing)
  • Be accountable for client (both internal and external) satisfaction.

  • Act as a partner with Sales, the PMO, and Managed Services
  • Demonstrate flexibility.
Advanced understanding of

  • Intune for PCs, phones, and tablets
  • Greenfield Intune setup
  • Integration between Apple and Intune, including push certificates and ABM (VPP integration knowledge a plus)
  • Enrolment options for PCs, including using GPOs and Entra settings for automatic enrolment of PCs as part of becoming hybrid joined.
  • App protection policies, key configuration profile settings (including Bitlocker and general device restrictions), compliance policies and associated conditional access policies, and MAMWE
  • Troubleshooting and validation, using tools such as What-if, sign-in logs, and the troubleshooting pane
  • Troubleshooting skills specific to Entra Join and BitLocker enablement.
Solid understanding of:
  • Conditional polices adjacent to and outside of those required for Intune, including MFA and trusted locations.
  • Intune reporting and raw data export
  • Configuration settings options and implementation beyond Bitlocker and general device restrictions (this includes settings for WiFi, certificates, etc.)
  • Migration from GPOs to Intune configuration settings
  • Entra ID, Active Directory, and synchronization between the two
  • OS update settings
  • Device and app wipes
  • Autopilot pre-provisioning.
  • Making apps available or required during and outside of Autopilot processes.
Basic understanding of:
  • Pertinent Microsoft licensing
  • DNS and IP networking
  • Windows 10 and 11, iOS, and Android incarnations
Plusses:
  • PowerShell scripting and Intune proactive remediation
  • Creation of Azure tenants and subscriptions
  • Graph API for Intune calls
  • LAPS without AD
  • SCEP/ NDES
  • Migration experience from other platforms (MaaS360, Workspace ONE/ AirWatch, MobileIron)
  • Microsoft and other IT certifications
Out of scope and not pertinent:
  • SCCM/ Configuration Manager
