About the Role

We are looking for a

highly hands-on Intraday Python Strategist

with strong interest and experience in

quant trading + automation

, who can design, backtest, and deploy

intraday strategies

and help integrate them into a

near-HFT style execution setup

(low-latency, high-frequency decision making, fast order handling).

This role is ideal for someone who loves markets, statistics, and building real systems--not just research papers.

Key Responsibilities

Build and iterate

intraday alpha strategies

(momentum, mean reversion, breakout, volatility, microstructure-driven logic). Develop

event-driven strategy engines

in Python (tick/1s/5s bars, streaming pipeline). Create robust

backtesting + forward-testing frameworks

(slippage, fees, latency assumptions, realistic fills). Integrate with broker APIs (example: Zerodha / Dhan / Kotak / Upstox or similar) for live execution. Implement

risk controls

: kill-switch, max loss/day, position limits, exposure caps, trade throttles. Work on

near-HFT execution improvements

: latency-aware architecture fast data ingestion order management + retries smart order routing concepts (where applicable) Monitoring & reporting: trade logs, performance dashboards, alerts, strategy health checks.
Required Skills

Strong

Python

(clean code, performance mindset, async/event-driven patterns). Solid understanding of

market mechanics

: order types, spreads, liquidity, slippage, execution impact. Good knowledge of

intraday trading

& risk management. Experience with: pandas/numpy, vectorization websockets/streaming data REST APIs database logging (Postgres/Redis/ClickHouse preferred)
Good to Have (Big Plus)

Options knowledge (Greeks, IV, intraday scalping logic). Prior experience with

HFT-like systems

/ low latency engineering. Familiarity with: Redis/Kafka/Kinesis, Docker, Linux, AWS, monitoring tools. C++ is a plus (not mandatory).
