About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced interventional cardiologist to join a busy cath lab team in Indiranagar, Bengaluru. The role focuses on delivering evidence-based invasive cardiology care including emergency STEMI management, complex PCI and imaging-guided interventions, while contributing to quality, training and program development.
Role & Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and execute complex PCI procedures including primary/emergent PCI, CTO interventions, and adjunctive device therapies.
Lead and respond to the on-call primary PCI rota for acute coronary syndromes, ensuring rapid reperfusion and adherence to STEMI protocols.
Apply intravascular imaging (IVUS/OCT) and physiological assessment to guide procedural strategy and optimise outcomes.
Supervise and mentor cath lab staff, fellows and residents; enforce procedural safety, infection control and cath lab protocols.
Coordinate multidisciplinary care with cardiac surgery, heart failure and imaging teams; provide pre- and post-procedure clinical management and follow-up.
Maintain procedural documentation, contribute to clinical governance, audits and outcome reporting; support clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
DM or DrNB in Cardiology with current Indian medical registration
Demonstrated competence in high-volume cath lab settings with proven experience in primary PCI and complex interventions
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Proficiency in transradial access techniques
Hands-on experience with intravascular imaging: IVUS and OCT
Ability to work on-site in Indiranagar and participate in an on-call rota
Preferred
Fellowship or superspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology
Experience with CTO interventions and rotational atherectomy
Track record of publications, clinical audits or academic teaching
