About the Internship
WRI India's Energy Program is seeking two interns to support our work in the domain of issues and challenges relating to electricity utilities, preferably distribution utilities. While a primary area of engagement will be assisting with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) disclosures for utilities, the interns will also contribute to broader programmatic work. This includes supporting ongoing initiatives focused on sub-national energy transitions, promoting clean energy adoption, and ensuring equitable development outcomes through the energy transition.
The work will involve engagement with leading stakeholders in the power sector. The interns will contribute to research, data analysis, documentation, and coordination efforts that support WRI India's advisory and implementation activities. This opportunity provides direct exposure to the intersection of sustainability, governance, and the transformation of the electricity sector in India.
In case the internship period involves developing an internship report in any form to be submitted to the parent institution, the candidates should have a research topic aligned with the primary area of engagement mentioned above.
