Role Overview
The International Tour Consultant will be responsible for handling enquiries for outbound travel, designing customised itineraries, providing destination expertise, closing sales, and ensuring a seamless travel experience for clients. This role requires strong destination knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver high customer satisfaction.
Interact with clients through calls, emails, Walk-ins, WhatsApp, and social media leads.
Understand the client's travel preferences, budget, interests, and requirements.
Provide suitable destination suggestions and clarify all travel-related queries.
2. Itinerary Planning & Quotation
Prepare customised itineraries for destinations like Thailand, UAE, Europe, Maldives, Singapore, Malaysia, Bali, Turkey, etc.
Create professional quotations including inclusions, exclusions, hotel details, and pricing.
Suggest sightseeing, activities, adventure options, and upgrades.
3. Sales & Conversions
Convert leads into confirmed bookings through effective communication and persuasion.
Maintain follow-ups with prospective clients.
Achieve monthly sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.
4. Vendor Coordination
Coordinate with international DMCs, hotels, cruise partners, airlines, and suppliers.
Negotiate rates to ensure competitive pricing.
Ensure timely confirmations, vouchers, and service arrangements.
5. Documentation & Processes
Guide clients with visa requirements, insurance, forex, and travel guidelines.
Manage booking documentation, payment schedules, and invoices.
Handle pre-departure checklists and ensure smooth service delivery.
6. Customer Service
Provide after-sales support for clients during travel.
Resolve issues promptly in coordination with vendors and operations.
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Tourism/Hospitality preferred).
1-4 years of experience in outbound tour sales (freshers with strong passion may apply).
Strong knowledge of international destinations and travel trends.
Proficiency in MS Office, email communication, and travel portals.
Excellent communication (English + Hindi); Bengali preferred.
Strong negotiation, sales, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple clients and work in a fast-paced environment.
