International Business Development Manager
to lead our global expansion efforts. This role is crucial for our growth, focusing on identifying new markets, forging strong international partnerships, and driving revenue from across the globe. The ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial self-starter with a proven track record of creating and executing international business strategies and building a robust network of global distributors.
Key Responsibilities
Global Market Expansion:
Research and identify potential new international markets for SRL's products, including research chemicals, molecular biology reagents, and fine chemicals. Develop and implement comprehensive market entry strategies tailored to each region.
New Business Acquisition:
Proactively generate and qualify new business leads from international clients, research institutions, and corporations. Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact and negotiation to deal closure.
Distributor and Partner Management:
Recruit, onboard, and manage a network of new and existing international distributors and strategic partners. Provide ongoing support, training, and performance analysis to ensure sales targets are met.
Relationship Building:
Foster and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key international customers and partners. Represent the company at international trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
Sales and Financial Performance:
Be accountable for meeting and exceeding international sales targets. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales data to inform strategic decisions and prepare regular performance reports for senior management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the R&D, production, and logistics teams in Mumbai to ensure international customer needs are met and product delivery is seamless. Provide valuable market feedback to help shape future product offerings.
Candidate Profile & Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Business, International Marketing, or a related scientific/commercial field. An MBA is highly desirable.
Experience:
A minimum of
10-12 years of experience
in international sales or business development within the
chemical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industry.
Proven success in developing new international markets and managing distributor networks is essential.
Skills:
Exceptional Communication:
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and present complex scientific and business information effectively.
Global Acumen:
A deep understanding of international trade, cultural business norms, and regulations across different regions.
Strategic Thinking:
The ability to analyze market data, identify growth opportunities, and create actionable business plans.
Autonomy:
A highly self-motivated individual who can work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision.
Language Skills:
Proficiency in additional languages, particularly those relevant to key international markets, is a significant advantage.

The role is based in
Mumbai, India,
with a requirement for frequent international travel
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
