The Junior HR Generalist supports the Human Resources department in day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment support, employee records management, payroll coordination, and compliance activities. This role is ideal for an entry-level HR professional looking to build a strong foundation across multiple HR functions.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
Assist in posting job vacancies and screening resumes
Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates
Support onboarding activities including documentation and orientation
Employee Records & HR Administration
Maintain accurate employee files and HR databases
Prepare HR letters (offer, appointment, confirmation, experience, etc.)
Track employee attendance, leave, and probation status
Payroll & Benefits Support
Assist with monthly payroll data preparation
Coordinate statutory compliances (PF, ESI, PT, etc.)
Support employee benefits administration
Employee Relations
Address basic employee queries regarding HR policies and procedures
Support employee engagement activities and HR initiatives
Compliance & Policy Support
Ensure adherence to company policies and labor laws
Assist in audits and HR reporting
Support implementation of HR policies and processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
0-2 years of HR or administrative experience
Basic knowledge of labor laws and HR processes
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with HRMS or payroll software
Internship or prior HR exposure
Willingness to learn and adapt
