To lead and manage the internal audit function for the
housing division (EHRL)
, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and effective risk management.
To provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations to senior management based on audit findings.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement a risk-based internal audit plan for the
housing division
(EHRL).
Execute audits covering financial, operational, and compliance areas of housing projects.
Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls in construction operations.
Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and compliance risks, ensuring adherence to RERA and other industry-specific regulations.
Conduct detailed reviews of project budgets, vendor agreements, and procurement processes.
Monitor fund utilization, cost management, and financial reporting for housing projects.
Assess housing project documentation, including land acquisition records and title verifications.
Recommend process improvements for project management, financial controls, and reporting mechanisms.
Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities to address audit queries.
Prepare and present comprehensive audit reports with actionable insights to senior management.o Supervise and mentor the audit team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Use data analytics tools to identify trends, anomalies, and high-risk areas in housing projects.
Implement audit automation solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency in operations.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of audit recommendations.
Stay updated with regulatory changes and evolving risks in the housing and construction industry.
Develop dashboards and MIS reports to monitor key risks and audit progress.
Provide advisory support on legal, compliance, and risk-related matters in housing projects.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
o Experience:
10-15 years of internal audit experience with listed housing or construction companies.
Preferred Industry:
Housing or Construction
Must-To-Go Skills:
o Proficiency in auditing tools and methodologies o Expertise in housing/construction industry compliance and regulatory standards o Strong skills in financial analysis, risk assessment, and process optimization
Good-To-Go Skills:
o Familiarity with project management and large-scale project audits o Advanced knowledge of data analytics tools for auditing.
