Position Overview
As a software engineering intern in the Catalyst team, you will join a dynamic group working on Source to Purchase (S2P) applications. Our team is instrumental in building and optimizing systems and applications essential for supplier workflows. We seek talented individuals with a strong foundation in programming who are eager to learn and contribute to our projects.
ResponsibilitiesDeveloping front?end UI and back?end services and making recommendations that yield a high quality & robust product. Developing unit/integration/E2E tests for code you add Participating in scrum activities (daily standups, sprint planning, reviews and retros) Prototype, implement, and troubleshoot features according to product specifications Collaborate closely with team on test planning, issue triage, and root?cause analysis Provide input to technical documentation for new features and developer SDKs

Minimum QualificationsPursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in CS or any Engineering discipline from a recognized institution Strong foundation in programming concepts (data structures, algorithms, OOP). Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript. Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript Backend: Exposure to Node.js, Java Spring Boot, Django, or Flask. Databases: Basic SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) concepts. Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket). Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred QualificationsExperience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React or Angular) Understanding of REST APIs and experience testing APIs using Postman or similar tools. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Ability to work on multiple complex projects simultaneously. Ability to learn new programming languages quickly. Self-directed and willing to take initiative.
