As an IT Support Intern, you will assist the IT team in maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the organization's hardware, software, and network systems. This role offers hands-on experience in IT support and an opportunity to develop technical and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Support:
Provide first-level technical support to employees, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Log and track IT service requests using the ticketing system.
Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff.
2. System Maintenance:
Assist in setting up, installing, and configuring hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
Perform routine maintenance and updates on systems and software.
3. Network Assistance:
Support the IT team in monitoring and maintaining local area networks (LAN) and wireless networks.
Assist with troubleshooting network connectivity issues.
4. Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of IT assets, licenses, and configurations.
Update technical documentation and user guides as needed.
5. Training and User Support:
Help end-users with system usage, software, and device troubleshooting.
Provide basic training for new hires on IT tools and platforms.
6. Project Assistance:
Support ongoing IT projects, including migrations, upgrades, or deployments.
Contribute to testing and quality assurance processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, or similar tools.
Understanding of networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP (a plus).
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
