The role sits within the Finance Business Partnering function reporting to the Discipline Financial Controller (DFC). Primary stakeholders include members of the Discipline's leadership team such as Regional and Service Line Directors.
The purpose of this role is to provide proactive financial oversight and support across the project lifecycle, ensuring robust project hygiene, accurate reporting, and strong stakeholder engagement. The role serves as a key point of contact for project managers--delivering training, troubleshooting, and guidance to improve financial awareness and project compliance. Through regular project reviews and insightful reporting, the role identifies projects requiring attention and collaborates with cross-functional teams, including billing support, to drive corrective actions. Ultimately, the position supports the delivery of financially sound, well-governed projects through enhanced visibility, engagement, and operational discipline.
Core Accountabilities
Work towards compliance with NI 52-109 for all Project Finance controls in an Oracle environment
Provide Internal Audit support
Review processes and suggest improvements
Analysis of Working capital for various businesses/ projects
Perform Project reviews and timely identification of risks and opportunities.
Comparison of actuals vs budgets /forecasts and identifying reasons for variations
Contribute to delivering Business Unit P&L, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
Coordination with different team members including project leaders, business partners and GBS
Review of various reports like utilisation reports, time cost reports, etc. and reaching logical conclusions
Analysing the cost to complete of different projects
Good understanding of the business and analysing the numbers based on the business understanding
Provide ad-hoc reporting and reconciliations as required
Preparing and finalising reports pertaining to various projects for Global reporting
Reviewing and carrying out project wise, Business Unit wise cost & margin analysis and providing reasons for the erosion/ gain of margins
