Duties and Responsibilities of an Interior Site Supervisor1. Site Execution & Monitoring
Oversee daily site activities and ensure smooth workflow.
Supervise carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, and other labourers.
Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
Monitor progress and ensure tasks are completed on time.
2. Quality Control
Check the quality of materials delivered to the site.
Inspect workmanship at each stage of the project.
Ensure all installations meet company standards and design requirements.
Identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
3. Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with project managers, designers, contractors, and vendors.
Communicate daily updates and requirements to the project manager.
Inform the team of changes or corrections required based on site conditions.
Assist in resolving site-level conflicts or technical queries.
4. Material Management
Track material consumption and avoid wastage.
Ensure timely availability of materials required for daily work.
Prepare material indents and confirm deliveries received on site.
Maintain proper records of tools, materials, and inventory.
5. Safety & Compliance
Ensure workers follow safety rules and site protocols.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free site.
Report any accidents or unsafe activities immediately.
Ensure compliance with local building and installation standards.
6. Measurement & Documentation
Take accurate site measurements when required.
Verify work measurements for contractor billing.
Maintain daily site reports, progress photos, and attendance records of labourers.
Document any site changes, extra work, or deviations from original plans.
7. Problem Solving
Identify site issues early and provide timely solutions.
Coordinate with technicians to rectify installation errors.
Assist in resolving design or execution discrepancies.
8. Client Handling (if required)
Provide basic updates to the client when project manager is not available.
Maintain professionalism and clarify site-level questions politely.
9. Finishing & Snag Rectification
Oversee final finishing works like cleaning, touch-ups, and corrections.
Ensure all pending snags are completed before project handover.
Check final site readiness before client walkthrough.
