The Billing Engineer - Interior Fit-Out is responsible for preparing, verifying, and managing all project billing activities related to interior works. This includes measurement, client and subcontractor billing, cost tracking, and coordination with site and accounts teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Key ResponsibilitiesBilling & Measurement
Prepare
Running Account (RA) bills
and
Final Bills
for interior fit-out projects.
Take
site measurements
for civil, carpentry, gypsum, flooring, painting, MEP coordination (if applicable).
Prepare
BOQs, abstract sheets, and measurement sheets
as per drawings and specifications.
Verify subcontractor bills and recommend for payment.
Client Coordination
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and PMC for bill certification.
Handle billing queries, revisions, and clarifications.
Maintain records of approved variations and extra items.
Cost Control & Documentation
Track project costs against approved BOQ and budgets.
Prepare
variation orders, extra item rates, and deviation statements
.
Maintain billing registers, reconciliation statements, and payment tracking.
Assist in
material reconciliation
and cost analysis.
Reporting & Compliance
Prepare monthly billing status and cash flow reports.
Ensure compliance with contract terms, specifications, and payment schedules.
Support audits by providing required billing and quantity documents.
Strong knowledge of
interior fit-out works and materials
Proficiency in
MS Excel
, AutoCAD (for quantity take-off)
Good understanding of
contracts, BOQ, and billing formats
Attention to detail and strong numerical skills
Good communication and coordination skills
Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in
Civil Engineering
Experience in
commercial interior projects
preferred
