Job Description

The Interior Designer is responsible for independently managing and executing projects while supporting staff on larger, more complex designs. This role requires a balance of creative vision, technical expertise, and client management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Execution & Leadership:

Lead the development of design concepts, space planning, and test fits, ensuring adherence to client goals, budget, and scope. Develop comprehensive Construction Documentation (CD) sets, including detailed drawings, specifications, and finish schedules. Manage the selection, specification, and procurement of FF&E.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

Lead client presentations and meetings, effectively communicating design intent and incorporating feedback. Coordinate directly with architects, engineers, contractors, and specialized consultants. Maintain project budgets, timelines, and deliverables.

Technical & Regulatory Compliance:

Conduct thorough site visits and construction administration duties, reviewing drawings and addressing RFIs (Requests for Information). Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and accessibility standards.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field. 1-4 years of professional experience in an interior design firm. Advanced proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite). Demonstrated experience managing projects from concept through construction administration. Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
