We are seeking a highly creative and skilled Lighting Product Designer to join our design and innovation team. This role involves conceptualizing, designing, and developing premium handcrafted lighting fixtures with a strong focus on artistic expression, material exploration, and technical precision. The ideal candidate will have an eye for aesthetic detail, deep understanding of lighting behavior, and experience working with materials such as glass, metal, resin, and modern lighting components.
Key Responsibilities
Create original lighting designs from concept to production, including sketches, 3D models, and technical drawings.
Develop prototypes in collaboration with artisans, glass workers, engineers, and suppliers.
Work with CAD software (Rhino, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Blender) to generate precise design files and product documentation.
Select and experiment with materials such as blown glass, acrylic, metal, and composite surfaces.
Integrate electrical components, including LEDs, drivers, wiring, and switching systems in compliance with safety standards.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design feasibility, structural stability, cost efficiency, and scalability.
Present designs to internal teams and clients using rendering and visualisation tools.
Stay up to date with lighting trends, technology advancements, materials research, and sustainability practices.
Oversee quality control during production and assist with troubleshooting design-to-production challenges.
