Job Summary

The Interior Decorator is responsible for enhancing the aesthetic appeal and functionality of interior spaces according to client preferences, project requirements, and budget constraints. This role focuses on color schemes, furnishings, lighting, materials, and decor elements to create visually pleasing and cohesive environments.

Key Responsibilities

Consult with clients to understand their design needs, preferences, style, and budget Develop design concepts, mood boards, and color schemes Select furniture, fabrics, lighting, artwork, accessories, and finishes Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and contractors for sourcing and installation Create space plans and decor layouts to optimize functionality and flow Present design proposals and samples to clients for approval Manage project timelines and ensure on-time completion Oversee installation and styling of decor elements Ensure designs comply with client specifications and quality standards Stay updated on interior design trends, materials, and decor styles
Qualifications & Skills

Degree or certification in Interior Design, Interior Decoration, or a related field (preferred) Proven experience as an Interior Decorator or similar role Strong understanding of color theory, materials, and furnishings Excellent visual and creative skills Strong communication and client management abilities Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools) is a plus Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
