Job Description


Our client (a major Australian bank) has a well-established vendor platform managing their FX business. They are looking for reconciliation experts to join their Institutional Banking and markets to help them with setting up new reconciliations for securities products to reconcile external MT messages vs internal bank trade positions.
This also involves importing data from various data sources to the Intellimatch application, setting up data structure in Intellimatch, setting up reconciliation rules, and producing matched/unmatched items and respective reports. This role will require a self-starter recon specialist/BA with working knowledge of Intelli recon recollector, admin, mbgateway modules with an understanding of securities markets and custodian business.

Our client is looking for a T shape professional who can also be able to function as a BA, test and drive the recon to production by providing business insights, and value in terms of reducing manual dependencies in the reconciliation process, and take ownership to deliver quick value to the client, this is a multi-disciplinary role.

Responsibilities

- The Reconciliation Specialist is expected to work closely with the business operations team, onsite BA\'s, application and environment support teams and take their inputs, understand the business/functional/non-functional requirements to build reconciliation in Intellimatch
- The Reconciliation Specialist is expected to work towards understanding current data integration, conduct impact assessment in terms of functionality, and data touchpoints, and be responsible for data import & mapping to Intelli recon data structure & elements.
- The Reconciliation Specialist is expected to build user profiles in Intellimatch, import recon data to Intellimatch using recollector, build reconciliation and advise on matched/unmatched items with minimal to 0 manual dependencies post-implementation.
- The Reconciliation Specialist is expected to update & configure reconciliation rules to support business requirements & functional solutions.
- The Reconciliation Specialist is expected to understand & drive end-to-end key recon implementations supporting securities & fixed income products (internal vs external transaction positions etc.)
- The Reconciliation Specialist is expected to document user stories, and acceptance criteria, and ensure traceability of requirements-test scenarios- and release sign-offs.
- The Reconciliation Specialist is expected to conduct requirements, brainstorming, and solution workshops, conduct walkthroughs, and get business signs off from stakeholders.
- The Reconciliation Specialist is expected to clearly elicit a delivery timeline, and milestones and keep stakeholders engaged.
- The Reconciliation specialist is expected to follow agile practices and support as a techno-functional Intellimatch expert
- The Reconciliation Specialist is expected to train/guide the offshore Luxoft Intelli team to support building recons
- The Reconciliation Specialist is expected to document and track defects until closure
- The Reconciliation Specialist is expected to provide clear estimates of each required work item, by closely gathering inputs from various development/impacted teams.

Skills

Must have

  • 9+ years of industry experience, in either a relevant Consultancy role or with a Tier 1/2 investment bank (on-shore or offshore)
  • Prior experience working with Intellimatch reconciliation (building recon, testing recon, and prod implementation)
  • 3+ years of Intellimatch experience and thorough understanding of IntelliMATCH application, services, and administration modules (v 20.3.2 or higher)
  • Experience as a system reconciler, as well as a reconciliation designer.
  • Advanced SQL Server knowledge and intimate knowledge of the IntelliMatch database schemas and linkages between the multi-database components.
  • Proven experience in creating import logic in particular using Recollector.
  • Advanced SQL Server knowledge and intermediate knowledge of IntelliMATCH database schemas and linkages between multiple database components
  • Understanding of intelliMATCH services and Admin Scheduler relationships
  • In-depth exposure to SDLC principles across new and changed reconciliations including delivery across business requirement analysis, data mapping, validating data against requirements, build, unit test, peer reviews, system integration, UAT, user manuals, and Go-live support.
  • Ability to manage business expectations, deliverables, and timelines.
  • High standards of documentation articulating all aspects of intent and building details at a granular level.
  • Experience in data analysis and mapping should be demonstrated
  • Must have MS SQL intermediate knowledge
  • Past experience in eliciting user requirements, creating user epics, documenting user stories, and writing acceptance criteria as per Agile WOW using JIRA
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills must be demonstrated
  • Good understanding of functional reconciliation building with global markets & financial asset class knowledge especially securities, fixed income, and custodian services
  • Maintains a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize / multi-task to deliver business value and meet project objectives
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, Team management and lead by example
  • Demonstrate ownership and self-driven towards the bank\'s initiative and goals.
  • Willing to propose and implement new ideas
  • Strong analytical skills, deep dive analysis, and ability to come up with clear estimates with milestones to be achieved for each delivery/program assigned
  • Ability to rapidly comprehend and analyze a problem, attention to detail, formulate a solution, and present it back to the business along with good quality documentation.
  • Self-driven and confident in taking full end-to-end ownership of a business problem and seeing it through to the final implementation.
  • Good communication skills. Comfortable in calling out any risks, and deficiencies and suggesting improvements during team meetings.

Nice to have

- Experience in the configuration of Intellimatch matched/unmatched item reports
