Integration Platform Engineer

Year    KA, IN, India

Job Description

Your Job

Design and development of APIs using AWS, python Kafka and terraform centered around API-led connectivity and microservices also provide effective solutions by quickly understanding the robust/critical Molex business in Integration area.

What You Will Do

Design, build, and operate a scalable, secure Kafka-based integration platform that powers APIs, event-driven services, and connectors. Partner with architects and product owners to ensure the platform aligns with target architecture, composability, and enablement goals. Implement and manage Kafka clusters (topics, partitions, schemas, ACLs, RBAC, quotas) with a focus on reliability, scalability, and cost optimization. Enable product teams by building reusable platform capabilities and templates (e.g., connector patterns, client libraries, reference implementations, Git repo templates). Design and implement data streaming and integration patterns (CDC, pub/sub, request/reply, event sourcing) and enforce best practices for producers and consumers. Own platform observability: define and implement logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and alerting for Kafka and related services. Apply CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ArgoCD, etc.) to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment of Kafka and platform components. Embed security by design (encryption, authentication, authorization, network controls, secrets management) into platform services and patterns. Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and incident response for the Kafka platform and related services. Provide hands-on mentorship, code/design reviews, and platform onboarding support to engineering teams consuming the platform. Contribute and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, solution diagrams, and "how-to" guides for technical and non-technical audiences. Work within an agile framework (Scrum or Kanban), collaborating closely with product owners to prioritize platform backlog and manage technical debt.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

4- 6 yrs years of software engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure-focused development experience in one or more languages (Python, Java, C#, Go, etc.). 3+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or Confluent Kafka (cluster operations, client development, or platform enablement). 3+ years of experience embedding security and observability into designs using established technologies and patterns (OpenTelemetry, logging, monitoring, tracing). 3+ years designing, building, or operating integration solutions (microservices, APIs, event-driven services) on a public cloud using storage, compute, EKS; AWS preferred. Strong understanding of integration and messaging patterns (sync/async, pub/sub, EDA, request/reply). 3+ years of experience creating technical documentation, low-level designs, and diagrams for engineers and stakeholders. Advanced experience with CI/CD and IaC (Terraform), GitLab/GitHub, and automated testing for infrastructure and/or services.

What Will Put You Ahead

Strong system design skills and the ability to make pragmatic trade-offs around performance, cost, and complexity. Experience building or supporting API platforms (REST/GraphQL/OData), including gateways, rate limiting, and developer experience tooling. Experience with SAP, Salesforce, or other enterprise platforms from a platform enablement or integration perspective. Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks, tooling, and how they can be applied to automation, self-service, and developer experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex platform concepts for diverse stakeholders.
