Job Description

An insurance advisor for a general insurance company is responsible for identifying and assessing client needs, recommending suitable general insurance policies (like auto, home, or business), and guiding clients through the purchase process. Key duties include selling policies, building and maintaining client relationships, assisting with claims, and ensuring clients understand their coverage. The role involves both sales and customer service, requiring strong communication and analytical skills. Core responsibilities

Client needs assessment:

Evaluate clients' personal and business situations to identify their risk exposures and insurance needs.

Policy recommendation:

Suggest and explain suitable insurance products, such as auto, home, or liability policies, and customize them to fit the client's budget and financial goals.

Sales and client acquisition:

Generate business for the company by prospecting new clients and selling insurance policies.

Application and documentation:

Assist clients with the application process and ensure all necessary documents are completed accurately.

Claims assistance:

Guide clients through the claims process, helping them file claims and liaising with the company to ensure prompt and efficient settlement.

Client relationship management:

Maintain long-term relationships by providing ongoing support, sending renewal reminders, and periodically reviewing policies to ensure they remain appropriate for the client's changing circumstances.
