Overview:



Universal Relocations is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Insurance Manager to handle moving insurance services for our clients across India. This role is critical in ensuring clients understand their insurance options, assisting them through the process, and managing claims efficiently and professionally. You will act as the key liaison between our customers and our insurance partners.

Key Responsibilities:



Client Education & Consultation

Explain the different types of moving insurance options available (Lump Sum, Valued Inventory, All Risk, Total Loss, etc.) Provide professional recommendations based on the client's shipment, budget, and needs Address customer queries regarding coverage, claims, exclusions, and processes

Policy Management

Guide customers in filling out the Valued Inventory Form accurately Review submitted inventories to ensure completeness and accuracy Activate insurance coverage prior to the scheduled move date and issue relevant documentation Maintain updated insurance records for each move

Claims Handling & Communication

Act as the primary liaison between the client and the insurance provider for the duration of coverage Assist customers with initiating and filing claims in the event of damage or loss Follow up with insurers to ensure timely processing and settlement of claims

Compliance & Reporting

Ensure compliance with company policies and insurance regulations Coordinate with internal operations teams and the documentation department for smooth service delivery Maintain trackers and reports for active, pending, and expired policies Provide weekly insurance status reports to the management team

Internal Training & Support

Conduct periodic training sessions for relocation consultants and sales staff on insurance procedures and offerings Collaborate with the sales team to bundle insurance offerings into proposals

Key Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in business administration, Insurance, Logistics, or a related field Experience in insurance, preferably in relocation or logistics Strong understanding of insurance products and policies, especially related to household goods and international shipments Excellent communication skills (English and Tamil preferred) High attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and CRM tools Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
