to join our Insurance Department at Meridian Hospital. The candidate will be responsible for handling patient insurance processes efficiently, ensuring timely claim submissions, approvals, and settlements while coordinating with patients, TPA (Third Party Administrators), and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with patients, doctors, and TPA for insurance-related documentation and approvals.
Verify patient insurance eligibility and policy details before admission.
Prepare and submit pre-authorization requests to insurance companies/TPAs.
Follow up on approvals, queries, and discrepancies with insurers and patients.
Ensure timely submission of discharge summaries and final bills for claim settlement.
Track claim status and update patients/management accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of insurance claims, approvals, and settlements.
Handle queries from patients regarding insurance coverage and processes.
Liaise with Finance/Accounts for reconciliation of insurance payments.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and insurance guidelines.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Graduate (any discipline); specialization in Insurance/Hospital Administration will be an added advantage.
1-3 years of experience in handling health insurance/TPA operations in a hospital or healthcare setup.
Good knowledge of health insurance policies, claim processes, and documentation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and hospital information systems.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
