Job Description

An insurance executive in the automobile industry advises customers on and sells motor insurance, manages claims processing from notification to settlement, and handles renewals and paperwork. Key responsibilities include assessing customer needs, explaining policy benefits, coordinating with other departments and insurance companies, and maintaining client relationships while ensuring compliance with regulations. Customer needs assessment:

Advise clients on the best coverage options based on their specific needs.

Sales and promotion:

Sell insurance products and promote additional covers to customers.

Client relationship management:

Build and maintain strong relationships to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Client support:

Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and complaints.

Proposal development:

Prepare and present insurance proposals, quotes, and policy details.
Claims management

First Notice of Loss (FNOL):

Manage the initial intimation of a vehicle claim, gather necessary information, and register it in the system.

Claims processing:

Oversee the entire claim process, including document verification, damage assessment, and settlement with the insurer.

Coordination:

Liaise with internal teams, surveyors, garages, and insurance companies to ensure quick resolution.

Customer guidance:

Guide clients through the claims process, explaining the steps and handling their queries.
Administrative and compliance duties

Policy and renewal management:

Handle insurance renewals, endorsements, and associated paperwork.

Record maintenance:

Maintain accurate client and policy records.

Regulatory compliance:

Ensure all activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.

Reporting:

Prepare reports on sales performance and other key metrics.
