Job Description

Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility prior to admission, treatment, or procedures. Obtain prior authorizations and approvals for medical procedures from insurance providers. Accurately enter and update insurance details in the hospital's management information system. Coordinate with clinical staff to gather necessary documentation for claims submission. Submit insurance claims accurately and promptly, ensuring adherence to payer guidelines. Follow up on submitted claims to ensure timely reimbursement and resolve any denials or discrepancies. Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status, coverage issues, and appeals. Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits and out-of-pocket responsibilities. Maintain detailed records of insurance correspondence and documentation. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and insurance policies.

Qualifications

:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field (preferred).

Experience:

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare insurance coordination role.

Knowledge:

Familiarity with insurance processes, medical terminology, ICD/CPT codes, and billing software

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?23,962.79 per month
